Examples of EuroMesh Facades
|

To be competitive and succeed in the Façade industry we need to explore every possible way to reduce time & costs. An attractive, yet efficient design is paramount to the success of the project.
If the design is needlessly complex, then material costs will be high, with manufacture and site installation drawn out.
To produce a cost effective design is crucial, requiring extensive knowledge of all available materials, manufacturing methods & fixing techniques. WPL UK has many years of industry experience and varied impartial product knowledge, providing a high level of professionalism, from expertise in Solar Shading systems through to bespoke tailor made Facade solutions.
WPL UK are unique in providing our client independent and complete project solutions by producing designs, calculations, material schedules and manufacturing drawings to the client’s specific requirements. Working proactively with the client from the start promotes positive relationships and ensures best value for the exact project proposal.
We identify that the client is pivotal to any project conception and place a keen approach on meeting their interests. WPL UK recognises that our client’s success is also our success and appreciates the responsibility of project individualism & client confidentiality.
From supply of ‘Materials Only’ via simple manufacturing drawings to bespoke ‘Supply & Fit’ project management of a unique Facade system, WPL UK is the one stop solution.

WPL UK Ltd's architectural facade systems provide a wide range of individual & independent mesh material design combinations through a vast array of external finishes, colours & textures. This extensive range of options makes it possible for designers to develop imaginative aesthetic concepts which enhance the built environment.
Our architectural façade systems are suitable for application onto steel or concrete framed buildings, up to any storey height and our pre assembled, off-site manufactured systems, fix directly to the building structure.
From receipt of architect's concept drawings to the final project completion.
All design work is carried out using the latest versions of AutoCad® by a team of CAD designers with a wealth of experience within the various areas of operation and can assist prior to, as well as during the construction process. Employing this expertise together with our procedures and contractor facilities we have expanded into a range of internal and external architectural products and finishes, offering the finest architectural solutions to the most diverse criteria.
This design service and our independent selection of materials, probably make WPL UK Ltd unique in our industry.
The list of possibilities for the application of these types of Facade systems are endless, or at least as limitless as the imagination.
Below is just a cross section of those areas were these Mesh materials have been utilised on previous Facade projects:-
Purpose:
Access, Balustrade, Brise Soleil, Ceiling, Cladding, Curtain, Decorative Structure, Enclosure, Facade, Fencing, Modesty, Privacy, Rain Screen, Solar Shading, Security, Screen, Signage, Staircase, Stairwell, Void Infil, Walkway, Wall.

Architectural Material Types
In recent years WPL UK Ltd have been instrumental in helping to raise the awareness to architects, designers & contractors alike to the exciting possibilities offered by Mesh materials on Facade type applications.
This site introduces a wider range of independently supplied styles and patterns that have previously been unavailable from one source and demonstrates some of the many project applications for these materials. This will hopefully inspire further imaginative use, as well as clearly demonstrating WPL UK Ltd's flexibility and willingness to work with architects and designers to develop interesting and innovative patterns.
The range of Materials, each with its own characteristics and optical effect , can be manufactured in a wide range of specifications to either increase or decrease the density, texture or transparency of the product. In addition many of these patterns are self-supporting, therefore reducing both cost and complications with regard to fabrication and installation.
Typical Examples of Materials that can be applied for Architectural purposes:-
Plain Woven Mesh
Plain Woven Mesh is manufactured in a variety of specifications, typically 1# > 500# in a variety of material types. The most common material type being a Stainless Steel grade suitable for its final application.
Cable Rod Woven Mesh
This Mesh has a diverse range of uses, depending on the pattern, grade of material, orientation, wire & aperture sizes. Flexible in the one longitudinal direction, whilst remaining rigid in the other latitudinal direction. Can also be manufactured with Galvanised, Stainless Steel & St St cable c/w Bronze or Brass rods.
Balanced Spiral Weave Mesh
As above, these materials are flexible, yet rigid and can be applied in a tensioned or draped state. These have been used on a variety of projects, Facades, Cladding, Solar Shading & Blast Screens. Various spiral sizes can be woven together to create many unusual designs.
Crimped Flat Top Mesh
A rigid Mesh which can be manufactured with a wide variety of aperture shape & size & wire orientation, often applied as, Balustrade, Facades, Enclosures, Ceilings.

The key advantages of building tension systems or tensile structures include:
- Mesh fabric panels that can be woven in sizes up to 6m wide by 60m long
- Panels that can be mounted vertically, horizontally or inclined to a building facade and require structural support at the top and bottom only. Intermediate locations require minimal support and can be designed to maintain consistent or irregular distance between the metal fabric panels and the face of the building.
- Tensioned Mesh panels systems can also be designed for, fall protection, severe weather and blast protection for buildings.
- The Mesh screens can be manufactured with over 70% open area and are ideal for open structures like, Multi Storey Car Park facades.
Architectural facade systems that incorporate Mesh fabric in a tensile application, offer significant advantages in both performance and cost for building design. As an example, architectural Mesh facades have become an ideal solution for a multitude of applications.
The ability to provide a facade made of large panels, that require minimal embedded structural support within the MSCP facade that are available with variable open area, with good air flow and circulation, so the need for costly HVAC systems can be eliminated.
As building trends gain momentum towards a more environmentally responsible design, architectural Mesh facade systems offer significant impact advantages.
Stainless steel requires minimal maintenance and cleaning after installation.
The life cycle of stainless products far outlasts that of alternative finished facade products.
Even the manufacturing process for architectural Mesh facade systems - a cold forming process, generates less environmental impact than the process for heat treated products.
